Text Box: ESSEX YOUTH GROUP
The Government sponsored Helping Hands has finished their local outreach for this summer. These young people have been available to help with whatever jobs you had for them to do . We used them here at the centre to help with painting and cleaning, and various other jobs. We have appreciated this service, and wish to express our thanks to these young people for their support.

POT LUCK Our next regular pot luck will be on September, 10th at noon .
Plan to attend this once a month function and a chance to sit down with your friends and neighbours, and spend a little informal time together. Bring your favourite dish or casserole, and your own dishes and utensils, and just relax and enjoy!! We celebrate birthdays and anniversaries , and note any visitors among our group at these get togethers.. There is always a game of euchre to finish off the afternoon.

Our drivers and deliverers for this month are Ron and Gladys Skilton, Bob Burns, Claudia Garant and Wanda Jones, Ilene Salter, Chrys Mathys, Amy and Community Living kids., Bruce Foster, Betty Lou Frith and Lily and Albert Hundey. We will be needing help with delivering meals during the month of September. If you can help please let us know, so we can put you on the list to call if we need an extra driver, or deliverer. This only takes about half an hour, starting about 11:30 .It is a good chance to get out and do somebody a kind deed. It makes their day.
A BIG THANK YOU TO Flo Herdman. Flo has helped out in the kitchen on Mondays and Wednesdays all summer, and her help has been greatly appreciated.
