FLU CLINIC - The Essex Retirees are hosting an Influenza Clinic here at the centre sponsored by the Public Health Unit, on October 2nd. From 10 A. M. to 4 P.M. Please feel free to invite your friends to take advantage of this free clinic. You do not have to be a member of the club to take advantage of this program. All you need is your Health Card MEALS ON WHEELS :- Our volunteers deserve a great big thank you for delivering Meals on Wheels every Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the month of September. These are :- Ron & Marilyn Bondy, Cathy & Howard Martin, Luke & Laverne Reaume, Theresas Malenfant, June & Jerry Donovan, Jack and Sidonia McItyre This program will continue to operate as it has always done. Volunteers are needed to deliver during October. If you have about 3/4 of an hour, starting at about 11:30, you can help with this important function., we only ask you for one day a week . Please call BettyLou if you are available. No experience necessary, We will go with you the first time |

POT LUCK :- Our Next Pot Luck will be held on Tuesday, October, 9th at 12 noon. This is the day after Thanksgiving, so we hope you are not too full of turkey to come out and join us . Bring something yummy to share with others. and enjoy this time together. MEGA DRAW :- The winners for our Mega Draw in September were :- Helen Grushka from Toronto area won $ 500.00 with ticket # 204 BettyLou Frith won $400.00 with ticket # 231 Virgery & Floyd Cascadden won $300.00 with ticket # 178, Red Cosgrove won $200.00 with ticket # 139 Ron & Gladys Skilton won $100.00 with ticket # 246. Congratulations to all of you. Our next Draw will be at our Pot Luck Tuesday Oct. 9th. There is still time to get a ticket as we will have draws each month until December , so counting October, we are at the half way mark |
